Pros

1. Water tends to be higher in naturally occurring minerals such as Calcium, magnesium and sodium : Both.

Bottled water and tap water , both undergone purification and treatment by adding Minerals to it. Studies conducted in US have shown that the essential minerals like Calcium, Magnesium and sodium are there in tap water at the same level as the bottled water has(USDA). The US government started the system of adding Minerals to the tap water as per the suggestion from Epidemiological Research for health benefits.

2. Less likely to contain lead : Bottled  water

Tap water may have a risk of containing the lead. The lead may come from the pipes, sinks and faucet's paints. The millions of pipes in the water delivery system of the US are installed decades back. There is a chance of lead contamination in the tap water from the service line and plumbing system also.

Cons:

1. The quality of water can be vary depending on where it is sourced  : tap water

Bottled water may collect from springs and municipality water supply and it undergoes different purification and treatment with minerals. Most of the bottled waters are in same quality, only differing in minerals content.

Tap water may come from muncipality storages ( water) . Muncipality get the water from sprigs, rivres and other sources, then it undergoes chlorination and other filtering actions. The quality of water may based on the method of storage and plumbing.

2. More control over the amount of minerals provided: Bottled water

Even though Both tap and bottled water undergo treatment with minerals, bottled water have more control over the amount of minerals provided and on thr bottle it cdm be indicated. Tap water may contain naturally occurring flurides and all.
