Public health emergency are one which needs an urgent health care needs dye to disaster, bioterrorism etc.,Foodborne outbreaks are one which affects health of the people by eating contaminated PR unhealthy food leading to hospitalization.

If such outbreaks happens Health officials takes charge to rule out the causative agent or source of infection and eradicate it.They are responsible for creating awareness through media,magazine, AIR,phamplets etc.,

Health camp are conducted to screen the infected one and treat them.Clinicians, Nutritionist, Nurses take part in treating them.

For example

The use of Maggi (noodles) was a huge food borne outbreaks which turned the world around due to its increased lead content for preservation by the manufacturers.Later this was identified, tested by the experts ,nutritionist for its harmful effects like affecting the he cerebrovascular system in children and banned .Similarly Typhoid was a food borne outbreak which was identified, alerted by health officials, later treated and vaccinated for prevention.
