Answer #1

capacitance of C3 and C4

C34 = 50.5* 40.5 / ( 50.5 + 40.5)

C34 = 22.475 uF

net capacitance of circuit

1/ C = 1 /22.5 + 1/ 45.5 + 1/ 22.475

C = 9.016 uF

========

b)

net charge through circuit

q = C * V = 23.5 * 9.015 = 211.87 uC

charge through C2

q2 = q = 211.87 uC

=======

c)

V3 = V - V 1 - V2

V3 = 23.5 - 211.87 / 22.5 - 211.87 / 45.5

V3 = 9.427 V

========

d)

U4 = 0.5* C4 V4^2

U4 = 0.5* 40.5* 10^-6* 9.427^2

U4 = 1.8* 10^-3 J
