It's an investment plan of action where an individual or entity changes its own country currency with a small interest slab into a foreign country currency with elevated interest to obtain financial gain. For example, an interesting slab for the Australian dollar is higher than the U.S. dollar. An individual or entity sells its U.S. dollar and buys Australian dollars to buy treasury bills. After a specific time, when treasury bills reach their maturity date, the Australian dollar again changes to the U.S. and hence gets financial gain out of it.
