When anterior root is compressed , it affect the dorsal root ganglion which carries the sensory neuron ,so in this time the body will not respond against a stimulus.

But in case of posterior root compression, ventral root ganglion will be affected which is the root of motor neurons so In this case the body will show various movement dysfunction and muscular contraction problem.
