Sketch the diffraction pattern you would expect to see for the following DNA molecules: (a) DNA isolated from humans, (b) Martian DNA, which is a double stranded DNA molecule with a 1⁄4 offset and 8 bases per turn, and (c) Jovian DNA, which is single stranded DNA molecule with 6 bases per turn. You only need to sketch the diffraction above the direct x-ray beam (i.e. the top half of the X due to the helix). Your sketch should extend to the 10th layer line due to the helical repeat. Label any missing layer lines and any lines due to the phosphates/bases.

Answer #1

Image result for diffraction pattern of isolated dnaI think with the help of this diagram you can guess, because i is impossible to sketch it exactly as it is.

But as a n explanation Spots in the center denotes the helical structure, heavy bands at top and bottom is recurring bases.
