In microbiology we study about our fellow‘micro' friends or enemies that co-exist with us in our natural environment.

These micro organism can be bacteria ,viruses ,fungi etc.

They may live in a harmonious relationship in our body or be a cause of life threatening diseases .

Public health ,in general comprises of many factors including the sanitation ,the nutritional health status in the area,the spread of various communicable and non communicable diseases,the environmental or demographic constituents !

The pathogenic microbes can lead to the outbreak of disease in a particular area or for instance in a population.Govt's of the particular area takes prophylactic measures to prevent sudden outbreaks.As a result every nation has its immunization programme designed accordingly . Vaccines we know work on the property of memory development by T &B(some extent )so that the secondary (anamnestic)response comes of higher magnitude and efficiency .

The vaccination programme comprises of complete schedule that is to be started right from when a child is born.

There are some bacterial organism for eg pneumococcal,diptheria, infections which are likely to infect a new born ,as a result it's vaccine is given .

Polio which was once a major problem in many developing countries has been eradicated from many countries eg India due to the well efficiently run vaccination programme run by the government .This is the case with many diseases which are under our control today only because we have developed a way to make our immune system stronger and able to fight such infestations .
