Answer #1

All the arthropods have the jointed appendages and hard exoskeleton on their body surface. These are two external features of arthropods.

The circulatory system of arthropods is of open type in which the blood flows in the body cavity directly. The body cavity is known as sinuses. Whole body is bathed with blood directly.

The presence of water canal system is a unique anatomical feature of echinoderms. It is also known as ambulacral cavity. Connected to podia, it helps in locomotion of echinoderms.

Echinoderm larva shows the bilateral symmetry while adults show the radial symmetry. It is because the larvae don't have the radial branches emerging from body.

The four unique features which all the chordates show at same in their development are -

Presence of a notochord,

Post anal tail,

dorsal hollow nervecord,

Pharyngeal slits.

The first triploblastic animal phylum is Phylum ____________. Mollusca Nematoda Rotifera Platyhelminthes The nontaxonomic term sea slug encompasses a wide variety of marine gastropods. One feature they share as adults is the lack of a shell. We might think, therefore, that they represent defenseless morsels for predators. In fact, sea slugs have multiple defenses. Some sea slugs prey on sponges and concentrate sponge toxins in their tissues. Others feed on cnidarians, digesting everything except the nematocysts, which they then transfer...
