Ans 1: Amoeba does not retain its shape because it uses pseudopods for locomotion called as amoeboid motion and it does not have a pellicle to hold its structure. In other words, the amoeba changes its body into projections called pseudopods, or "false feet", which act like its external appendages that slide over the surface where the amoeba is by pulling the rest of the body and its organelles behind it.

Ans 2: Pseudopods or "false feet" holds the cytoplasm in place

Ans 3: Nucleus is granular and located centrally whereas food vacuoles are formed only when the food is engulfed by the pseudopodia.

Ans 4: Amoeba is very large compared to other 3 species;

Amoeba- 250-750 micrometer

Streptococcus- 0.5- 2.0 micrometer

Oscillatoria- 7 micrometer in diameter

Gloeocapsa- 6-7 micrometer
