Answer #1

Colorism is a form of discrimination based upon the skin tone of the individual belonging to the same race. Individual colorism can contribute to overall colorism in the society and can breakdown the unity in diversity among the members of a race. For example, a black woman discriminating another black woman with a significantly different skin tone can lead to segregation and stereotypes regarding the former. This can lead to discrimination within the community and lack of cooperation.
