As atomic mass of C = 12.010 g / mol
and atomic mass of F = 18.998 g /mol
moles in CF4 = 171 / [12.010 + 18.998 * 4]
= 171 / 88.002
= 1.943 mol.......................................ans

Molar mass of CF4 = 12 + 4*19 = 88 g / mol
Given mass of CF4 = 171 g
Plug the values we get n = 171g / 88 g / mol
= 1.94 mol
