Answer #1

ANSWER = $1,043.29

F = Face value = 1,000

C = Coupon payment = 4.9% x 1,000 x 0.5= 24.5

r = Yield to maturity = 4.5% / 2 = 2.25%

n = Time period = 15 x 2 = 30yrs

NOTE : Since the bond makes semiannual payments, the coupon payment and YTM are halved and time period has been multiplied by 2.
