 Ms. L, a 19-year-old woman with no previous medical history, was involved in a serious automobile accident in which her best friend died. Examination by EMT personnel first on the scene revealed she had only minor scrapes and bruises and no sign of head trauma. While en route by ambulance to the hospital, Ms. L complained of thirst and appeared restless. Further examination indicated a rapid pulse and respiration, with her blood pressure now at 100/60 mm Hg. She appeared less responsive to the

 paramedics. She was slipping into circulatory shock as they checked her again for internal injuries.

Answer 1

Neurogenic shock.

It is caused by the irregular circulation of blood.This results in low blood pressure.Neurogenic shock is caused by the injury to spinal cord or brain which undergo trauma.It is a life threatening and it is caused by autonomy dysfunction.

Contributing factors to this shock is the patient is in serious automobile accident in which she may have been injured to spinal cord.

2)signs and symptoms include difficult breathing,faint pulse, bradycardia,weakness,hypothermia and lack of compensatory mechanisms.All this symptoms are seen in Ms L.

3)Firstly patient is immobilizer so there will be no damage ,and fluids are given intravenously to balance ones blood pressure and medications are given to regulate low blood pressure.

4)Types of shocks.

Neurogenic shock which is caused by injury of spinal cord or brain and manefestation from low blood pressure and irregular blood circulation.

Anaphylactic shock which is caused by exposure to allergies which causes body to release chemicals and blood ptpressu will be low and breathing will be difficult.manifestation include feeling warm ,flushed skin, vomtings, abdominal pain ,swollen lips.

Cardiogenic shock is cause due to sudden stop of blood pumping into heart and may be the result of heart attack.Manifestation include rapid breathing and heartbeat,shortness of breath,weak pulse, sweating ,pale skin,low blood pressure.

Septic shock is caused by the widespread infection which effects organs which result in failure.Manifestation include fever,fast heart rate.

ACIDOSIS.

It is a condition in which result when our body have high acidity levels.If seriously affects the health of the body.Cellular metabolic activity is disturbed and pH I'll be imbalance along with nausea, vomtings and breathing problems.
