There is a great deal of controversy that is outlined in several research studies and articles relating to the health care system. The invention of DSS-based systems which gather a patient’s medical information from a variety of sources and then determine a) a diagnosis and b) prognosis.

The controversy is that doctors believe that their knowledge, experience, and training qualify them as the best decision makers for patient treatment.

Does it “de-humanize” the relationship and trust between the patient and their doctor(s)

it doesnt de humanize the relationship between the patient and their doctor if the doctor is knowledgable and skillful enough to make apt decisions at the correct point of time by interpreting the test values and considering the patient condition and need. He can take assistance from the DSS based systems when there is a confusion or dilemma.
