Answer #1

As per records, civilwar account for morethan half of death of soldiers(4, 00,000 out of 7, 00,000 death) due to infectious disease like malaria, pneumonia , measles , diarrhea, dysentry etc due to unhygienic shelters during war, unhygienic diet and lack of resources to care of wounded soldiers. Those time were no much medical reforms and inventions had take place. As per history , never temperature were recorded for a fever patient in case of rheumatic fever etc. So, it was clear cut that the large number of death of soldiers were due to epidemic outbreak than by the bullets in the warfront.

So, a national awareness focusing on public health with aim of prevention measures towards cause of disease and promotion of health while taking care of diseased were targetted and it found to be a great achievement. Environmental hygiene and use of personal protective equipments helped to prevent transmission of disease. Many epidemic outbreaks were controlled with the move of environmental hysgiene.

As thr number of patients increased , the need of hour for more medical practitioners for the apt diagnosis at the righy time came to be an emergency requirement.so army camps were helped out with more number of doctors to provide more focused and timely diagnosis of the patient.
