(1) Claim is that "average attendance at games is over 561". So, null hypothesis for this case would be that "average attendance at games is equal to 561" and alternate hypothesis would be the claim, i.e. "average attendance at games is over or more than 561"

It is given that null hypothesis is not rejected, so we can say that there is insufficient evidence to support the claim that the average attendance at games is over 561

So, option C is correct answer

(2) Claim is that the test scores of 7th graders vary less than the test scores of 7th graders at neighboring school, i.e. standard deviation is small.

So, for null hypothesis, we assume that the standard deviation is either equal or greater than the standard deviation of 7th graders in neighboring school.

For alternate hypothesis, the claim is going to be our alternate hypothesis.

so, we can write it as

Ha : σ < 14.7

So, option A is correct answer.
