x2 = 70.1 , s2 = 4.2

n1 = 16 , n2 = 16

degrees of freedom df = (n1+n2)-2 = (16+16)-2 = 30

the value of 95% confidence with df is t = 2.042

confidence interval formula

=>(x1-x2) +/- t * sqrt(s1^2/n1 + s2^2/n2)

=> (53.4 - 70.1) +/- 2.042 * sqrt((4.4^2/16) + (4.2^2/16))

=> -19.81 ≤ µ ≤ -13.59
