Also we know that hydrolysis of ester (RCOOR') in presence of acid is generally reversible in nature but hydrolysis of ester (RCOOR') in presence of base such as NaOH , the reaction proceeds in one direction and separation of products would be easier as compared to the hydrolysis of ester (RCOOR') in presence of acid.
