Answer: The infant is suffering from the disease which is due to the transmission of virus from mother to fetus.

When the virus has attacked the mother or mother got infected, during pregnancy the virus may cross the placenta and hence affected the fetus too.

Baby's condition could beprevented of early checkups, blood test as well as other vital test have been performed during pregnancy.

It is important to deliver care to the infant with the interdisciplinary team of professional so provide quality of care. The baby need to be isolated and should be provided intensive care.
