Some part of the winds kinetic energy is taken up by the blades,so basically first the kinetic energy of the wind is being converted into the mechanical energy of th blades which is then converted into the electrical energy

so wind power generators subtract kinetic energy from the wind,so the wind is slowed down by interaction with the blades
