Answer #1

ANSWER.

15) Calculation of gtt/min.

           gtt/min = Volume(ml) / Time(min) * Drop factor(gtt/ml).

     Here

         Volume(ml) = 500 ml

         Time(min) = 120 min (2hr).

         Drop factor = 15 gtt/ml.

As per above formula

            gtt/min = 500/120 * 15

                        = 4.17 * 15

                        = 62.5

                        = 63 gtt/min.

16) Calculation of ml/hr.

            ml/hr = Volume(ml) / Time(hr).

     Here

          Volume(ml) = 1000 ml

           Time(hr) = 1 hr.

                ml/hr = 1000 ml/hr.

17) Calculation of time required for infusion.

Time required to infuse 75 ml = 1 hr.

Time required to infuse 750 ml = X hr.

                              75 ml = 1 hr

                             750 ml = X hr.

            So

                       75 * X = 750 * 1

                             X = 750/75

                                 = 10 hr.
