Percentage change in gross profit from 2016 to 2017 was 5.29% while percentage change in net sales during the same period was 4.72%. We can see that percentage change is more for gross profit. This is due to the fact that cost of sales in 2017 has come down. Due to reduced cost of sales, gross profit rate has increased in 2017.
