Variable cost = (Cost at highest activity - Cost at lowest activity) /(Highest activity-Lowest activity)

= (17,398 - 14,886)/(10,600-8780)

= 1.38

Fixed cost = Total cost - Variable cost

= 17,398 - (10,600*1.38)

= 2770
