Current assets = Stock + Debtors + Advances + Prepaid expenses + Cash in hand = $220,000 + $110,000 + $10,000 + $8,000 + $52,000 = $400,000

Current liabilities = Bank overdraft + Creditors + Outstanding expenses = $100,000 + $80,000 + $20,000 = $200,000

a) Current ratio = Current assets / Current liabilities = $400,000 / $200,000 = 2

b) Quick ratio = ( Current assets - Stock - Prepaid expenses ) / ( Current liabilities - Bank overdraft ) = ( $400,000 - $220,000 - $8,000 ) / ( $200,000 - $100,000 ) = $172,000 / $100,000 = 1.72
