The spinner below shows 10 equally sized slices. Ivanna spun the dial 25 times and got the following results OutcomeWhite Grey Black Number of Spins 12 6 7 Fill in the table below. Round your answers to the nearest thousandths. (a) From Ivannas results, compute the experimental probablity of landing on black. (b) Assuming that the spinner is fair, compute the theoretical probability of landing on black (c) Assuming that the spinner is fair, choose the statement below that is true: O As the number of spins increases, we expect the experimental and theoretical probabilities to become closer, though they might not be equal ○ As the number of sp ng increases, v浊.xpect the expenmental and theoretical probabd.tes to become farther apart The experimental and theoretical probabilities must always be equa

Answer #1

a) Experimental probability of landing on black = Number of black outcomes / Total number of spins

= 7/25

= 0.280

b) Theoretical probability of landing on black = Number of black slices / Total number of slices

= 3/12

= 0.250

c) As the number of spins increases, we expect the experimental and theoretical probabilities to become closer, though they might not be the same.
