1)The anatomical problem with the integumentary system are affected.It affects the cells causing fluid shift from blood vessel to the tissues of burn injured area

2)The inflammatory mediator has a direct effect on endothelial and smooth muscle which leads to extravasation of fluid from intravascular compartment to extravascular compartment ,sodium gets released from cell,potassium gets into cells resulting in edema ,multi organ failure because of negative interstitial fluid pressure and increasing microvaascular permeability

3)Administration of IV fluid is very important in burns injuries and meet the fluid shift

4)The clinical manifestation are as following

  • Pain when it is 1st or 2nd degree
  • painless or numm when nerves are affected
  • fluid loss
  • dehydration
  • Blister
  • peeling skin
  • Shock
  • white skin
