Answer #1

Transfer mispricing refers to manipulation of the transfer price that happens more often in related party transactions with an fraudulent intention behind to deceive the tax authorities, thereby evade taxes. When two or more related entities enter into a transaction involving transfer pricing, it is well versed by laws that such price shall be at the Arms length value ie the value at which such product would be sold to a non related party openly in the markets.

However related parties negotiate and set the transfer prices in such a way that they artificially reduce the prices to ensure a minimal or no tax is to be paid to the tax authorities. Thus these entities cleverly evade taxes that would have been payable had the transaction been done at the arms length price.
