Independence of information provider - He must be reliable. Information provided by him should be authentic.

Effectiveness of client Internal control - It helps in deciding whether evidence is true or not

Timeliness - evidence should occure at the right time

Other charactristics are auditor knowledge, Degree of objectivity, qualification of individuals providing information.
