1.Ans.The Constitution of US divides the federal government into three branches such as excecutive, legislative and judicial.

Legislative branch

  • It is made up of two houses of Congress such as the Senate and the House of representatives.
  • Primary duty is to make laws.
  • The laws are written ,discussed and get it passed in the Congress on the basis of votes of the members.

Excecutive branch

  • to enforce the laws
  • It includes the president, vice president, the cabinet, independent agencies and other boards

Judicial branch

  • to interpret the laws ,apply the laws in individual cases ,inspects if laws violate the constitution.
  • It is comprised of Supreme courts and other courts

It is necessary to seperate the government in this way because to ensure that no individual or group have too much power.

2.Ans : The three levels of judiciary are district courts,circuit courts and the Supreme court of the United States. Supreme court is the highest court in the American judicial system.

District courts

  • General trial courts of the Federal court system.
  • Each district court has one District Judge appointed by the President.
  • It handles both civil and criminal cases.

Circuit courts

  • After the decision of the federal district court in a case, it can be appealed to the court of appeal.
  • There are 12 federal circuits that divides the country into different regions.
  • There are 6 to 29 judges in each circuit court

Supreme court

  • It has the power to decide appeals on each and every cases that brought in the Federal courts
  • The members in the Supreme court are termed as justices
  • There are 9 justices, eight associate justices and one chief justice in the court
