Answer #1

When you are obese and try to reduce the weight to control the diabetes, it needs a great discipline as nothing temporary works. She has to follow it very patiently and doesn't have to stop as soon as she reduces the weight. As she is diabetic her metabolism is highly compromised and that is why she has to follow her diet and should not stop it. Surgical procedures involve great risk which can lead to injury to structures such as nerves, blood vessels, lungs and abdominal organs.

It also involve risk of infection and her skin may appear bumpy.

So, my opinion would be she should not give up on her diet regardless of results as it take time for the body to get accustomed to the different diet and give results about it.
