Given data :-

Degrees of freedom, DF = 17

Area, significance level, P = 0.025

\RightarrowHere we need to find out the \chi ^2 -  value.

\Rightarrow From Chi-squared distribution table, at DF = 17 and significance level, P = 0.025 for the right tailed test, the  \chi ^2 - value is 30.191 .

( \because in Chi-squared distribution table locate the 17th row corresponding to degrees of freedom, and in 17th row locate the column where the significance level is 0.025 )

i.e,  \chi ^2 - value = 30.191
