Degrees of freedom, DF = 17

Area, significance level, P = 0.025

$\Rightarrow$Here we need to find out the $\chi ^2$ -  value.

$\Rightarrow$ From Chi-squared distribution table, at DF = 17 and significance level, P = 0.025 for the right tailed test, the  $\chi ^2$ - value is 30.191 .

( $\because$ in Chi-squared distribution table locate the 17th row corresponding to degrees of freedom, and in 17th row locate the column where the significance level is 0.025 )

i.e,  $\chi ^2$ - value = 30.191
