a)The potential remains same for an equipotential line, but as you move father or closer it decreases or increases. So basically the spacing between the lines reveals the dropping or increasing potential with respect to the location of charge.

b)No equipotential line are closed loops. In terms or origin of them, they sre stronger near the charge and then diminishes as the distance increases

c)No direction, as potential is scalar quantity.

d)Electric field lines are perpendicular to the electric potential lines.
