Answer #1

density=mass/volume

ball X

mass=25.0g

volume=24.0cc

density=1.04g/cc

ball Y

mass=82.0g

volume=96.0cc

density=0.854g/cc

ball Z

mass=14.2g

volume=14.8cc

density=0.959g/cc

since ball X and Z do not float, the density of the liquid is less than the density of both ball X and Z

and ball Y floats so the density of the liquid is more than ball Y

thus 0.854<density of liquid<0.959

and from the given options 0.9g/ml is the only correct option.
