As marathone can causes significant changes in all body systems it's effect reflects on blood as well as urine results.From the laboratory findings it is evident that patient has glycosuria, proteinuria and hematuria.Due to excessive muscle contractions protein loss is common after such races.Presence of myoglobin is also due to this excessive muscle contractions.Due to possible dehydration the GFR may increase this also leads to hematuria and protein loss after a long race.Due to excessive glucose metabolism the total blood glucose levels may fall in such patients due to excessive energy use,then fat or protein will be utilized to meet the energy requirements.Hence chances of glycosuria is less common immediately after the race.so2+glucose in urine can not be attributed to recent exercise.
