Answer #1

In the problem when kno3 is mixed with water ,here the dissolution of kno3 occurs when positively charged k ions are attracted to partially negative charged oxygen atoms of water molecules and negatively charged nitrates ions are attarcted to partially positively charged hydrogen atoms of water molecules, so kno3 dissolves in water.

And also the theoretical value is 35.8kj/mol.

And also for the HCl +Naoh the theoretical value -13.75kcal/mole on converting it is -57.475 ki/mol.....

Determining the Theoretical Heat of Neutralization Using Hess' Law AH® for HCl(aq), NaOH(aq), H2O(l), and NaCl(aq) are -167.16, -470.11, -285.83, and -407.27 kJ/mol, respectively. Use Hess' law to calculate the heat of neutralization in kJ/mol. 2. (12 pts List the reference values for AG and Sof each reaction component and calculate AG and As for the reaction. Using AG, and the average of the experimentally determined value for AH in this experiment, report a semi-experimental value for AS (assume standard tem perature). Compare this value to the theoretical value (AS ) and calculate a percent error. What would cause any variance? (You must show your calculations. You can use the left page for extra space.)...
