Question

The slider P can be moved inward by means of the string S, while the slotted arm rotates about point O. The angular position of the arm is given by θ = 0.66t-0.048t. where θ is in radians and t is in seconds. The slider is at r = 1.68 m when t 0 and thereafter is drawn inward at the constant rate of 0.17 m/s. Determine the velocity v and acceleration a of the slider when t2.9 s. The slider P can be moved inward by means of the string S, while the slotted arm rotates about point O. The angular position of the arm is given by θ = 0.66t - 0.048t2, where θ is in radians and t is in seconds. The slider is at r = 1.68 m when t = 0 and thereafter is drawn inward at the constant rate of 0.17 m/s. Determine the velocity vand acceleration a of the slider when t = 2.9 s. Express your answers in the x-y coordinate system.

So I have tried solving this a few different ways, but for some reason I am still getting the j values incorrect. I know that the acceleration j value should be negative but I wasn't able to figure out where I was going wrong. The velocity j value I believe is supposed to be positive, but also I couldn't figure out where I was going wrong. Just an explanation of where I might be missing something would be helpful.

EDIT: Got the correct answer myself after working it again, question closed.
