codes of conduct set by people in a specific profession. A member
in a profession must abide the professional ethics to maintain a
good standing with the licensing authority in that
profession.
The two main components of professional ethics are respect and
honesty.
Professional organizations establish codes of professional ethics
to help or guide members in a profession to perform their job
according to sound and consistent ethical principles.
The main philosophy professional ethics is to make the
individuals working in a profession to follow the sound, uniform
ethical conduct.
Example: American Bar Association has adopted and maintains Model
Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers. These rules prescribe
the standards of professional responsibility and legal ethics for
lawyers in the United States
