Why the size of CarbonBlack particle and network structure of CarbonBlack particles are important to improve the mechanical propeties of the tire???
The size of Carbon black particles determine the surface are of the tyre that is in actual contact with the ground. A larger particle size will mean higher surface area touching the ground. This means more grip but higher wear of the tire meaning it gets used up faster. Therefore we need to find a balance between the grip and tyre wear to arrive at an optimal particle size.

4. (1) Describe the purpose of using a tire code. Explain type and structure of the tire code. Also explain how to improve the adhesion between rubber and tire code and why it is important. [20] (2) Conventional tires are usually composited with carbon black (CB) particles. Explain why the size of CB particles and network structure of CB particles are important to improve the mechanical properties of...
Particle size and overall efficiency.
Air Pollution Engineering Homework Particle Size & Overall Efficiency Due in a week A particle dispersoid consists of 500 1-um particles, 250 10-um particles and 50 100-um particles. The densities of these particles (1-um: 10-um: 100-um) are respectively in 10:5:1 ratio An air pollution control device has the following capturing efficiencies in these particles: 10% for 1-um, 50% for 10-μm and 99% for 100-um. Calculate the number efficiency and the mass efficiency of collection.

why are the small particles in soil so important relative to the large particles ? what causes the clouds at the inter tropical convergence zone? describe the role that polar stratospheric clouds play in the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere? Type it here please don't write it
An important factor in solid missile fuel is the particle size distribution. Significant prob- lems occur if the particle sizes are too large. From production data in the past, it has been determined that the particle size (in micrometers) distribution is characterized by 0, elsewhere. A Find the expected particle size. 8 Find E (x2) CFind the variance of the particle size. D Find the standard deviation of the particle size.
2. If we wish to resolve the structure of an object by scattering particles off of it, the de Broglie wavelength o1 the scattering particles must be at least as small as the object. Calculate the minimum energy needed, in eV, to resolve the following size scales assuming the particles are electrons. a. a nano-particle, size 10 m. E- p'/2m c. a nueleus, sze 101m. E - (p'c+ m'c)1 pc. d. Determine the size scale that could be probed by...
Why do scientists need particle accelerators to discover new particles and to study the properties of known particles? charge greater than less Particle accelerators allow scientists to accelerate subatomic particles to very high speeds( the speed of light). At these speeds, collisions between the accelerated particles and particles in a stationary target have sufficient energy to produce new particles and/or known particles via energy conversion greater near For example, the mediators of the weak nuclear interaction have very large rest...
