Pyridostigmine helps patients in myasthenia gravis by preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine chemucal in our body. Acetylcholine is required for normal function of muscle.

Side effects:

Upset stomach, diarhoea, vomiting

pale skin, drooling

muscle weakness etc

Adverse effects:

muscle cramps

twitching etc

Delayed intake of drug:

Trouble talking

fatigue

walking problem

drooping of eyelids

Overdosing :

passing out

trouble breathing

mental changes

heartbeat changes

inability to move etc

Drug inetractions:

Coticosteroids

Anticholinergics

beta blockers

Difference between myasthenia crisis & cholinergic crisis:

Cholinergic crisis is when excess acetyl choline is present in body leading to excessive stimulation of neuromuscular junction.

Myasthenia crisis indictes excesse breakdown of acetyl choline resulting in diminished neuro muscular coordination.
