Centre of gravity is not only pulling the force down but also balancing the weights of the body.The centre gravity is low then balancing the weight becomes easier.In a simple way centre of gravity is where the stability of an object is maintained with the help of base of support.

Always for the Centre of gravity to be maintained there should be a base of support to the object or to the person.

In 1 st picture , as the person is holding the boy around his neck, more amount of the weight is carried over the shoulders.Here the Centre of gravity is in the waist region.

In 2nd picture the centre of gravity lies in the sane side of the hip.When a heavy object is carried on the shoulder , the base of support lies in the tilting on the same side for support.

In 3rd picture centre of gravity lies back in the spine near to waist.The weight is carried over the chest and base of support lies in the back.
