               FORMULA

                      Effective half life Te = TpTb / (Tb + Tp).

                      So       Te = 6*2 /(6 + 2)

                                      = 12 / 8

                                     = 1.5 hrs.

63) Value of Te, If Tp = 6 hrs. and Tb = 12 hrs.

                           Te = 6 *12 / (12 + 6 )

                                = 72 / 18

                                = 4 hrs.
