Answer #1

To calculate balanced chemical equation,

It works on the law of conservation of mass. The number of atoms in the elements on the reactant side must be equal to the product side.

In question 1.

Nb + HNO3\rightarrow Nb(NO3)3 + N2O + H2O

Answer.

8 Nb + 30 HNO3\rightarrow 8 Nb(NO3)3 + 3 N2O + 15 H2O

Now, by putting these values. Number of atoms on the elements on the both sides are equal.

Question 2.

Chemical formulas

Potassium Iodide = KI

Calcium arsenate = Ca3(AsO4)2

Calcium Iodide = CaI2

Potassium arsenate = K3AsO4

Balanced chemical equation with the same concept as written in the first question is given below.

6 KI + Ca3(AsO4)2 = 3 CaI2 + 2 K3AsO4
