NaOH is strong base and dissociates completely in to

Na+ and OH- ions.

NaOH ----------> Na+ + OH-

1 mole NaOH produce 1 mole OH- ion ( ratio 1:1 ).

Therefore, [OH-] = [ NaOH ]

Therefore, pOH = -log [OH-]

= - log ( 0.520 )

= 0.283.

Now, pH = 14 - pOH

= 14 - 0.283

= 13.71.

Ans = b = 13.7
