Judaism emic view :-

"The Lord" calls on Abram and tells him to drop everything and move himself and his family thru the ancient eastern world to this place he calls him to change his name, be circumcised, has to move, and has to obey the Lord.

Judaism etic view :-

great temple in Jerusalem in Ancient Israel where there is a sacrificial tradition, prophets warned the Lord was going to punish them if they didn't take care of the poor, widows, etc. , exile period happens when babylonians invade Judea and destroy the temple so sacrificial traditions fade out.
