When aqueous solutions of Potassium sulfide and copper(II) sulfate are mixed then a precipitate of Copper(II) sulfide and an aqueous solution of potassium sulfate is obtained.

Balanced equation for this reaction is ,

K2S (aq) + CuSO4 (aq) -----> CuS (s) + K2SO4 (aq)

Empirical formula of precipitate is CuS

When aqueous solutions of iron(II) bromide and zinc nitrate are mixed then an aqueous solutions of zinc bromide and iron(II) nitrate are obtained. No precipitate is formed.

Balanced equation for this reaction is,

FeBr2 (aq) + Zn(NO3)2 (aq) -------> Fe(NO3)2 (aq) + ZnBr2 (aq)

When aqueous solutions of lead(II) nitrate and sodium sulfide are mixed then aqueous solution of sodium nitrate and a precipitate of lead(II) sulfide is obtained.

Balanced equation for this reaction is,

Pb(NO3)2 (aq) + Na2S (aq) -----> PbS (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq)

Empirical formula of precipitate is PbS
