Ans : b) the forces of attraction between water - water and acetone - acetone are very strong, while the forces of attraction between water-acetone are relatively weak.

Water molecules exhibit hydrogen bonding in between their molecules due to which it has a high boiling point. Acetone is a permanent dipole so it has dipole-dipole interactions in between its particles which are comparatively weaker than the attraction forces in water. This is the reason acetone evaporates faster.
