This is a recent article about Exxon Mobil's Africa upstream crude oil operations.

The article explains how the company has found an oil well near the shores of Nigeria which has abundant oil resererves which the company can explore. It talks about the future cash flows that are associated with the oil drilling operations and expects about 200 million USD in future for about 20 years of time-frame. The article then calculates the net present value (NPV) by discounting the future cash flows. It then goes on to explain how this can add value to the existing business of Exxon Mobil. The report was filed with the Securities Exchange Commission  and hence the stock price of Exxon Mobil on NYSE rose based on the report
