Question
I know the first derivative gives you the critical point which is the harmonic mean but I’m having trouble proving it because my calculus is a little subpar. I also need help proving why there is a minimum at that critical point using the second derivative. Thanks!

Which of the following is incorrect concerning Newton's First Law? I know that Newton's first law states an object at rest will remain at rest as long as the net force on the object is zero. I narrowed the questions down to three choices of the five: A) An object can not have a constant speed if the magnitude of net force is greater than zero. B) An object can not have a constant veloocity if the magnitude of net...

Hello, I hope you are having a good day. Please confirm the work I did is correct. I need to better understand how exactly to calculate moment using the internal forces. I don't understand why the moment did not return to zero at the point 4.5 m from the beginning. I'm used to the moment beginning at zero and ending at zero, at the last force. This is a cantilever beam; maybe that is why??? Please let me know if...
