Common law presumes that no intention to create legal relations for domestic, social or family agreements. For example, when parents decided to provide their son an allowance on the condition he keep her grades high, it would not be regarded as a contractual arrangement. Common law presumes that families prefer to rely on mutual affection and trust instead of the contracts to enforce their obligations to each other. On other hand for business or commercial situations the common law presumes intent for entering into a legally enforceable contract
