Answer #1

21. ANS: GAS VACUOLES

It is an internal structure in prokaryotes that is made up of a single protein and is impermeable to water but permeable to gas. Moreover, it allows bacteria to float to the surface, therefore providing buoyancy for aquatic bacteria.

23. ANS: PORINS

It is found only in gram negative bacteria. It provides channels for small molecules to pass through.

26. ANS: VIRUS

Acellular means "cell free".

27. ANS: Eukaryotic cells have membrane enclosed organelles, nucleus, multicellular and single cell organisms.

28. ANS: Prokaryotic cells have no membrane enclosed organelles, only one membrane entire cell, single cell organisms,

29. ANS: Plasma membrane and cytoplasm.

The cells of all prokaryotes and eukaryotes possess two basic features : a plasma or cell membrane and cytoplasm.
